Lepidoptera florelegia: watercolour painting by Kay Craig, 2006 [17 of 17]

I call this specimen Lepidoptera florelegia. It is made up of violas (Bowles Black), Rosa rugosa Scabrosa, Cyclamen, Dutch iris and erythroniums. The body is Datura sanguinea. This type of painting would probably offend botanical purists, but it is presented here purely as a little bit of fun and fantasy.
