Banksia serrata: watercolour painting by Kay Craig, 2001 [2 of 17]

Banksia serrata
This is the Old Man Banksia - for obvious reasons. It's a wonderful banksia cone to draw or paint because it has such character. This species is widespread in Australia from Queensland to northern Tasmania. It is so named because of the saw-edged margins of the leaves.
